Mavericks temp variation
Installed Mavericks yesterday. Today I noticed that the temperature was going from 41 degC up to 60 degC over a few seconds and as I type the temp is showing 33degC and varying by 1 degC every second or so. Now down to 31 degC. Any thoughts? Fan reports speeds varying in the 1390s range. As I finish...

me again, over the last hour the ambient has flicked from 9 degC to 7 deg C and back again.
As far as I can tell the room has stayed at a constant temp too.

Came across a thread regarding iStat - a similar thing I believe and several people with new 2012 iMacs have an ambient reading of around 9 degrees - their gurus suggest its a programme thing making the software incompatible as far as ambient readings go. Just want to know what the Ambient refers to - is it the outside air temp, though as you can see it shows 10 deg C in a room at 25 deg C - very warm day here in the UK near Manchester.
