Macs Fan Control looks like saving my bacon since smcFanControl has apparently started causing problems with WindowServer on 10.9 (happened twice in 4-5 days: lots of messages in Console log before I had to reboot, not even Screen Sharing access to the display, while File sharing and other functions...
