Purchased portable version with expectation it would have same functionality as non-portable, plus I could install it on multiple machines.

But I don't see an option to track install when I right-click an installable program.

Yet again an incomplete answer missing the point.

The thrust of the question is, what happens to the tracked install data from the trial? Is it lost because a portable version (now confirmed as different code) is installed?

I'm sure it is the policy. The point is the promotion directly contradicts the policy. That's deceptive.

The question was how to handle it at install time, not after. What is the proper way to handle the error box? Confirm that the install worked properly, or not? Force Install would come (or would not come) after this.

If 'lifetime' in 'lifetime license' means the license never expires, then why doesn't 'updates' in 'free updates' mean all updates? There's no qualifier about minor vs major in the promotion blurb.

This is not clear and should be made so in the promotion of the product.

By 'proceed with uninstall' do you mean Windows 'Uninstall a Program' or Uninstall Tool Uninstall? It's this point that's the heart of the question.

Is the proper uninstall procedure for a program that was tracked when installed to first uninstall outside of the tool, then run the tool to cleanup?

I'm probably going to be buying the portable license, so I can use the product on all my pcs. Is it actually a different download than the trial version? Concerned I might have to uninstall trial and wondering how that would affect the tracked installs.
