I'd also like to disable the icon completly. Wouldn't it be possible to show it under system settings (preferences?) instead?

I think this feature is essential. Also having the issue that the minimum rpm are randomly set after every restart. Sometimes it's 1600rpm, sometimes 2200rpm and therefore not reliable to work with (no other fan control tools installed). Would love to fix it to a certain value. I'm on a MacBook Pro ...
