Re: Possible bug in 1.2.1

didn't notice anything unusual. When set, the Custom Setting works as it should - that's not what I'm asking about. What I am inquiring about - and it's not a huge deal, but rather an annoyance - is how a single click initiates the values running away, rather than simply incrementing by one and lea...

Re: Possible bug in 1.2.1

I've found the same behaviour on my white-face iMac, version 6.1, also running OS 10.6.8. Here is a link to a screen capture movie: https://www.dropbox.com/s/oke422r06we6yxw/MFC%20Runaway.mov?dl=0 Note that in each instance, I'm not clicking multiple times, or clicking and holding - I'm just clickin...

Possible bug in 1.2.1

On my MacBook Pro version 3.1, running Mac OS 10.6.8, I found that when adjusting the temperatures for Custom settings by using the little arrow controls to the right of the entry box, the increment or decrement seems to "stick" and the value will continue to increase and decrease all the ...

Necessity of running MFC on both OS?

I'm running Win7 Pro 32 bit via Bootcamp 4.033 on a late 2006 iMac (v. 6.1) and a 2007 MacBook Pro (v. 3.1). Both machines run Mac OS 10.6.8. Is it necessary to run MFC on both operating systems? Currently I am running MFC 1.1.12.2 on the Windows side, but SMC Fan Control over on the Mac side. Is th...

Re: Macs Fan Control for Windows : Error initializing SMC Layer

I find I get this error the next time I boot up following any operation which modifies my Registry such as installing a new program, activating or deactivating a driver or service, or following a system crash.

Re: Overheating problems and MFC- Check Important Screws!

It sounds like fbl got an answer of 100degC for a CPU in a MacBookPro3,1 -hot! I got that number from Steven further up this thread, as I can't run runTest on my 10.6.8 machine. However, experience with temperature reporting software under both the Mac OS and Windows (XP and now 7), led me to assum...

Re: Overheating problems and MFC- Check Important Screws!

As runTest requires at least Mac OS 10.8, hopefully you'll be able to get it to run on your Yosemite system. I'm still using 10.6.8, because subsequent OS versions seem to me to be more restrictive and less capable, in what I take to be Apple's drive to become less computer- and more phone-like. My ...

Re: Overheating problems and MFC- Check Important Screws!

mfearon As a MacBook Pro 3.1 owner, using MFC when running Windows 7 SP1 32 bit Pro, via Bootcamp 4.0, I read your information with interest, having recently cleaned out the inside of my machine. Possibly because I am running Mac OS 10.6.8, I was unable to run the runTest process that Steven has re...
