The testing works guaranteed only on Windows currently, sorry. The kernel extension is not signed on macOS.

Currently if a user doesn't want to install the tracing service, we deliberately create a 'jumplist menu' in case if he will not forget about this cool feature

Can you please enable log in Preferences and post the log here? After the restart of the app, you can find the log file on your Desktop.

Mac Pro 5,1 with upgraded Dual 3.46 Xeon X5690 6 core cpus
Mac Pro 1.1 and 2x intel xeon 5150

Please try these 2 builds:  1.  https://www.crystalidea.com/downloads/macsfancontrol_setup_513_qt562.exe   2.  https://www.crystalidea.com/downloads/macsfancontrol_setup_514.exe   Please tell us which one of them work? Which CPU and mac model do you have ( I suspect the crash happens only on MacPro5...
