How to improve macs fan control (it's a nicely working thing on a MacBook Pro 3.1):
Give the possibility to let sound an alarm at certain setted temperatures. For instance at CPU and GPU diode temp, and may be for the HDD temp and the airport card. It's hardly imaginable that this could be difficult.
It would be so nice to quietly sit in an other place in the room where the MacBook is doing its job, without having to watch the temperature all the time.

Also, alerts through e-mail/iMessage could be of help for those who sit in "another" room with their smart phones.

Apparently it is the caused of overheating. I have installed all the latest BootCamp drivers and Windows Updates.

So, I hope that on top of increasing fan speed after hitting the temp, user can be alerted of such problems and may decide to shutdown or reboot (Because when fan is running at > 5000 RPM, the sound is getting too loud to be desirable). My fan is capable to run up to 6199 RPM.

EDIT: Meanwhile, I had changed some of the power plan settings in Windows 8 to restrict CPU max performance to 80% and some other power savings settings to Balanced (Especially Graphics Card) despite being a High Performance profile.
