** Note ** This is actually a MacPro4,1 with the firmware hack installed that lets it run SIerra.

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5520 @ 2.27GHz
MacPro5,1
ioctl CTLIOCGINFO: No such file or directory

What does the error mean?

Steven, any idea what that error message means--the one I posted as follows, on Oct. 17?

The testing works guaranteed only on Windows currently, sorry. The kernel extension is not signed on macOS.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU         860  @ 2.80GHz
iMac11,1
ctl_id: 0x10 for ctl_name: crystalidea.macsfancontrol.kext
TjMax T: 99

v1.4.9 Macs Fan Control only shows 2 Cores, but this is i7 quad-core with 8 threads running.   I'm hitting 92C doing Handbrake encodes.
