Code: Select all

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5462 @ 2.80GHz
MacPro3,1
ctl_id: 0x7 for ctl_name: crystalidea.macsfancontrol.kext
TjMax T: 0

.... not sure maybe something went wrong here. Or would this explain why I've had trouble with my fans recently?

I open terminal. Drag runtest and drop in onto my terminal window. Auto entering the directory info, which is the same as going "to this directory (runTest)" isn't it?

I hit enter an get this-

"Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7700 @ 2.40GHz
MacBookPro3,1
ioctl CTLIOCGINFO: No such file or directory"

I dunno what's going on. Interesting stuff, but I'd probably be better off going back to smcfancontrol and not mess with what sensor reads from which location etc. It's too tempting to fiddle with different settings sometimes! :-)

I see another MacPro3,1 above that has a TjMax T:0.

Is this correct?, what does it mean?

Thanks guys,

David
