I really like the new features in the beta.

But one thing that has always bothered me is how it uses so many idle wake ups. About 500 wake ups every 1.5 seconds or so. With the actual window open, it goes to and remains between between about 4000 and 2000 every 1.5 or so seconds. If the wake ups could be timer-coalesced more, or if the update frequency could be lower (or even configurable) I would greatly appreciate it.

It is a fantastic app, certainly one of the best that exists for free, and definitely the best fan control app ever. Keep up the amazing work! :good:

I agree with previous poster. Would be great to have a variable sampling time.
I tried to run the max temp test, but got the following puzzling result:

Thanks for the reply re: TjMax. Why didn't the "runtest" work on this mac?

Also on Yosemite Public Beta 4 (I was unable to run the runtest successfully)

Peculiar finding in Console when 1.20 beta installed on Yosemite Public Beta 4:

10/1/14 4:16:33.825 PM MacsFanControl[368]: Performance: Please update this scripting addition to supply a value for ThreadSafe for each event handler: "/Library/ScriptingAdditions/PresentationModeSA.osax"

I do not have such a script. What exactly does this refer to? :(

Great app.

I agree with the previous comments about the idle timing.
I would like to suggest a new feature, to let MacOS put to sleep certain drives: the ability to disengage SMART status check.

All the best,

Working well on Yosemite, thanks! One minor request- I'm using the new Dark Menu in general preferences. I can see the icon but not the current temp/speed in the menu bar. A white letter option would be nice. See screenshot included.

Why do you need 64 bit version of MFC?

Hi,

The UI needs a bit of work when running using nonstandard display settings (see attached screenshot).

I've got a late 2013 MBP w/ Retina display, so in order to make the text legible, my display settings are as follows:

Resolution: 2880 x 1800
Text size: 185%

Other than that - great app!
