I am running an iMac 24" 2008; Mac OSX version 10.6.8. with 2.8 GHz IntellCore 2 Duo, Memory 5GB 667 MHz.
The sensor Sensor on Power Supply Position 1 registers heating such that it triggers a warning at 75 degrees C.
I have installed Macs Fan Control which has three controllers ODD HDD and CPU. I have tried various experiments to discover which, if any, controller controls the fan for the Power Supply (Position 1) but have not firm evidence as there is no Power Supply controller listed.When working with Keynote the Power Supply gets hot quickly.
please, Csystalidea, can you advise which fan ODD, HDD or CPU cools the Power Supply?
