The app no longer works on Windows XP

MFC no longer works on Windows XP. It doesn't find "GetSystemFirmwareTable" in kernel32.dll
Unfortunately XP is the only Windows OS which runs fine on my MacBook without 24/7 hard drive activity and 100% CPU Usage
