I have an iMac 27" mid 2010 running OSX 10.6.8. I just downloaded the 10.6 app.
It came as a zip file instead of an img as mentioned in the overview video.
When I launched it, I had to put in my password, but then no icon showed in my dock or indicated it was running at all.
Asked if I wanted to install updates & relaunch, so I did, re-entered my password but still no indication it was running.
I tried to delete the program, but an alert said it couldn't be moved to the trash because it was running.
Any ideas?

MFC is running without dock icon. It's a menubar-only application

Re: app not showing that it's launched
I should have been a little more specific in my last post. There is no icon there either.

mom, I had same--find it by command f--click ico to open the macs fan control window then it gives you a button to place it on your menu bar and you have complete control--check out prefs and put temp and fan rpm on menu bar! let me know...
Re: app not showing that it's launched
I went back and did a re-install. The icon showed up in the menu bar! However, once I installed the update, it disappeared. I'll reinstall again and not update it.
Thanks!
