Max RPM - Bootcamp version is lower than OS X

Post by chelloiaco »

Hi,

For some reason whenever I'm in boot camp the Maximum RPM permitted by Macs fan control is 5500.

While when I'm on the OS X it is 6200

Is there anyway of making the 6200 value also work on boot camp?

Thanks

MFC is not able to change max RPM, it can be dangerous.

But why is it not dangerous while on the OS X?

Why is it lower on boot camp?

The system firmware decides how and when to set min/max RPM.
