I noticed when i starting Macs Fan Control, it use about 0.2 % CPU. And in process of time that value growing. After a week CPU usage ~ 2%. If i close this application and launch again, it again use about 0.2 % CPU. Is it normal?

I have noticed this as well - currently running version 1.4.4 on a MacBook Pro 2010, after 3 weeks I saw that Macs Fan Control was permanently using around 15% CPU (without any window open). Restarting it brings it back under 1%.

I grabbed a profile (below) before restart, it looks like it was spending most of that time... comparing strings?

Which fan control settings in MFC do you use? (a screenshot or technical info from the preferences dialog, please).
