mac mini mid 2010

Post by lyohar »

HI

i broke the original cooler connector while replacing HDD in my Mac Mini min 2010. After i ordered cheap cooler from AliExpress:
https://ru.aliexpress.com/item/Notebook ... 0.0.rbEwO8
It works, but always on full speed *6000 rpm. I tried to control speed using Macs Fan Control, but it does not work: fan speed is always max.
The question is: is there any way to control my cooler or should i use only original(expencive) one?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Not sure why you broke the cooler connector, you shouldn't remove cooler when replacing HDD.

Anyway, I'd put the original part.
