"Universal" increase in fan speed

Post by doughpat »

Hi everyone-

Sorry to be the noob here, but I'm a little concerned that I could seriously screw something up and melt my board!

I recently baked (yes, in the oven) the GPU card out of my iMac 27 (late 2009).  Amazingly, it fixed the problem!  So at this point I am concerned about the GPU of course, and I'd like to keep it as cool as possible.  I'm not too worried about fan noise, though setting them on a high custom constant RPM doesn't appeal to me.

I'm hoping to find settings that generally just increase the fan speed, but still allows them to be dynamic with temperature.  Sort of like a, "Take the default cooling settings and add 50%".  Can anyone advise?  Thanks.

Hi,

Currently there's no such a setting, but we'll add this in future.
