MFC doesn't seem to work anymore after upgrade to High Sierra

since I upgraded to High Sierra I get this message that there's a 'non-Apple file', the app loads and starts but then it only shows the various temperatures and I can't change the settings, plus I don't think it's really doing anything anymore, am I the only one getting this?
