kernel_task

Post by bigboss »

Hi,
I have the following problem:
When using external monitor (4k) the the kernel_task comes active, after some time,  and uses all procestime, when Fan Control is active. Before this happen the system is 3 -8% in use.
Only solution for now.... turn to automatic or not use fan control. When this is happening temp  approx. 53 degrees and its not depending if the system is heavily used or not. And It makes no difference (at this moment) if MBP is closed or open (clamp).

When activating Fan Control this will happen always..after some time (when external monitor is connected).

MacBook, Retina, 15 Mid 2015, 16 GB, 2.8GB Intel Core i7, AMD  R9 m370x 2G.
MacOS High Sierra, 10.13.3

I'm testing several scenarios but can't find a solution till now.
