Reset caches and settings

Post by waikun »

Hi,

I recently upgraded from a 13" MacBook Pro to a 15" MacBook Pro Retina, and restored my data via Time Machine.
Now, MacsFanControl still recognizes my notebook as a "MacBook Pro 9,2" and displays only one fan instead of two. It works fine on a Bootcamp partition where the program was freshly installed (instead of being restored from a backup).

How can I delete all caches/preferences that MacsFanControl has created?

BTW: Thanks for this awesome software! (:

waikun,

Quit the app and delete this file:
/Users/%YOU%/Library/Preferences/com.crystalidea.MacsFanControl.plist

Please post a screenshot of the app running on MacBook Pro retina (after clearing settings).
Thanks

Steven,

thanks for the quick reply! I actually found the file shortly after posting, sorry for the effort :/

It works now, but the graphics are very blurry, I guess the app is not optimized for retina yet :)
