min RPM higher than max RPM and MFC not increasing speed

Post by mib »

Hi
I just upgraded to the newset version of your fine program.
But now the minimum rpm is higher than the maximum rpm.
And the temperature is 43C - it should start increasing fan speed at 42C but nothing (or very little) has happened.
Furthermore I cannot set the rpm speed manually. I cannot erase the "old" rpm and put in new ones.
What to do?

Notice that someone changed Max RPM (dangerous!) and set it below Min RPM, MFC cannot set RPM higher than Max RPM for safety reasons.

Try put mac to sleep and then wake

Reboot will not help, sleep/shut down should help to reset SMC values of fans
