Need more improvements for SpeedyFox

Post by chrismt »

There is an addon called FasterFox.

Try to learn from it

I wish to see more updates.

I am using Firefox 3.7 Minefield pre-alpha

Try to learn about this new version which uses sand boxing technology

I like your product and please improve it for old PCs like mine. :Yahoo!: :Bravo: :good:

Hello, chrismt.

Thank you for the post.
FasterFox is a totally different piece of software, its methods work as FF addon only.

Hi, I have a question about SpeedyFox. Over the last several days my Firefox 3.5.6 install became unusable. Tabs wouldn't quit loading and the browser would freeze. I disabled all extensions but the problem still was occurring. I first tried downgrading to 3.5.4 and 3.5.3, but the issue was still there. So I downgraded to Firefox 3.0.16, which is somewhat better, but still much slower loading pages than Safari 4.

Through some online research I read about SpeedyFox and found this site.

However, I use an Intel Mac running OS X 10.4.11, and your site says SpeedyFox for Mac is coming "soon." I'm confused because I found several download links for SpeedyFox for Mac at http://downloadaccess.net/search.php?PI ... 0for%20mac. Both indicated they were updated as of Dec. 25, 2009.

One download link said this: [New release] speedy fox for mac Updated 25 Dec 2009 1054 Kb/s
The second link said this: [Extra quality] speedy fox for mac Updated 25 Dec 2009 1106 Kb/s

Are these your download links? Can you tell me what the difference is between them?

islandgirl45,

Thank you for your question.

Those links have nothing in common with SpeedyFox and lead to nothing.
SpeedyFox for Mac is currently under development, stay in touch to be informed in time about the release.

Thanks, I'll keep in touch. Do you have an estimated time frame for the release of SpeedyFox for Mac? I'm only asking because Firefox just isn't very usable at this point. I can't use the 3.5 release at all.

islandgirl45,

SpeedyFox for Mac should be released within 3 months.
SpeedyFox is great for his compatibility of all Firefox versions (including future).
