Using Macs Fan Control on 15" Retina MBP late 2013

Post by bafvaft »

Hello,

I am new to Mac and Macs fan control. I'm using 15" Retina MBP late 2013. I don't know to how customize left fan and right fan. In my bootcamp I set them both to CPU CORE 1. In my Mac OS Maverics, I find it's too loud if I use the same settings as bootcamp.

So, for my macbook pro, which sensor value should I use (left and right)?
Could anyone provide some suggestions? Thanks.

I set them both to CPU CORE 1
this is absolutely not correct.

What is wrong when fans are in automatic mode?

thanks for the reply. I thought auto mode was not intense enough. When I noticed CPU Core 1 was nearly 65, both fans were 2500 rpm, running very quietly. Maybe I worried too much ? Which temperature value should I focus on ?

65 is a good temperature for CPU.
90 and higher is something one should worry about (and only if it's not dropping).

Hi, Steven,
I noticed you mentioned in other posts that left fan and right fan should be set to monitor different value because they are in charge of different components. Do you have any suggestions on my macbook pro? Or I just need to stick to Auto Mode?

Thanks.

btw,I noticed you changed the post title. I'm sorry about that.

Just keep in automatic mode. And please read the warning message in the About dialog
