Should I take Mac Book Pro back to Apple Service

Post by vladidj »

About 8 month ago fans started going berserk and temp going up to 105 while working in Photoshop or even watching online movies. During some (i'd guess cpu intensive) tasks it'd switch off. So i took it to the Apple service. After 3 days of testing i was told that CPU heat sensor is broken and i need to change Logic Board. After changing Logic Board i've installed Macs Fan Control and i don't see much change of the temperature with new Logic Board. It still from time to time jumps to 105 and fans are speeding.
I'm posting here screenshot and tech info.
Any advise would be highly appreciated!

This type of CPU can heat up quickly + take into account that it's inside a thin metallic case.
Raising of minimum speed could be a solution for your case, but this feature is currently not implemented (http://forums.crystalidea.com/viewtopic ... 88&start=0)

Try to play with manual fan values.
