Hello there,
I'm running Macs Fan Control 1.4.3 on a 27-inch Mid 2011 iMac with OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5.
Since installing Apple security update 2016-004 (https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT206903), my iMac fan will not stop when I put the computer to sleep. I'm fairly sure it has something to do with this security update, as it was running fine before, but just wondering if this is a known issue? I have checked with Apple and they haven't heard about this.
Thanks,
Jon

Hi,
How is it connected with Macs Fan Control?
PS. Try to reset SMC.

Re: iMac fan will not sleep after Security Update
I'm not sure it is connected to Macs Fan Control, but it doesn't seem to be connected to Apple either, so I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
I have reset SMC, PRAM, etc. to no avail.
I take it that I'm the only one then experiencing this?

Re: iMac fan will not sleep after Security Update
I have a MacPro and after doing the security update my computer also will not go to sleep any longer. A soon as I turn off Macs Fan Control v 1.4.3 the computer sleeps without issue.
It is definitely tied to Macs Fan Control Version 1.4.3 as I can recreate this on other MacPros I own.

What if you don't quit MFC but simply put all fans to auto mode?
