Fan Control Settings

I have a 2015/2016 Mac Book Pro 15" and 16GB memory. I run a lot of engineering software on the computer and it gets very hot so I downloaded the Mac Fan Control software to help. Can anyone recommend the settings I should use for my fans to stop my computer from heating up so quickly? When I use these engineering programs, the computer gets so hot you can burn yourself touching the aluminum in front of the keyboard. I don't want to ruin my fans or my computer, I just want to set the fans to turn on at a lower temperature to keep the computer from overheating. If anyone could recommend the values that I can input into the settings it would be appreciated.
