Unsupported hardware detected (BootCamp + Win7 on MM(Lt-09)
I've successfully used Macs Fan Control on several test systems (great work!) Now I have two identical MacMini (late 2009) units that have OS X 10.7 and BootCamp / Win7 applied to their drives. The working one uses standard rotational media. The non-working one uses an Intel SSD. The issue is running MFC under Windows 7 on the SSD model. I was wondering if the storage device is used in determining Apple Hardware supportability? Is there anything I can do to work around this (registry values, etc)? Thanks. (PS - both lack HDD thermal sensor - hence the need for MFC.)

Re: Unsupported hardware detected (BootCamp + Win7 on MM(Lt-09)
Do you see a message that your hardware is not supported?
Re: Unsupported hardware detected (BootCamp + Win7 on MM(Lt-09)
Yes, the pop-up stated only Apple hardware was supported and the MFC app refused to start. I was just curious about this determination.
A few other diagnostic details. [1] The same version of MFC ran on the OS X 10.7 partition of this drive, just not the BootCamp / Win7 side. No errors or complaints. [2] The Sata HDD (rotational media) from the other sister system which has OS X and Win7 versions running on its partitions also ran correctly in this system (both OS X and Win 7 versions). No complaints about unsupported Apple hardware. [3] I noted that under the running OS X 10.7 version, the Intel flash SSD does not report a thermal sensor reading on the list of devices (although MFC still runs on that OS).
So the only real anomaly here seems to be with the MFC running on an Intel flash SSD running with BootCamp + Win7 as far as I can tell. Not sure what the catch here is for rejecting Apple hardware (per the popup). Thanks for any insights.

Let's try this now:
http://www.crystalidea.com/downloads/ma ... up_log.exe
It will produce 'log.txt' file, please post it here.

Please delete this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CrystalIdea Software\Macs Fan Control
I added more logging, please run it now
http://www.crystalidea.com/downloads/ma ... p_log2.exe
Please post a new log here.

Interesting. I wonder if my SSD is impacting something here (since the other disk most likely produced non-empty responses to the queries above).

Nice! Thanks, we're almost there!
Last (hoping) log is required from
http://www.crystalidea.com/downloads/ma ... p_log4.exe
PS. Is WMI Service running? What is your Windows version?

Please run this utility (run run1.bat and run2.bat), they will produce output.txt and output2.txt file, please post them here
I also need the contents of this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SystemInformation

Nice, thanks for testing. I found the problem: our method uses first run1.bat and doesn't get proper information unlike the second method.
Last testing, please run this and post the output:

Re: Unsupported hardware detected (BootCamp + Win7 on MM(Lt-09)
macmini09,
I have added reading from registry in case WMI reading is not working (like on your computer).
Now it should correctly detect your macmini:
http://www.crystalidea.com/downloads/ma ... p_test.exe
the fix will be included in beta 5 as well (will be available soon)

macmini09, can you please post a screenshot of macs fan control on your macmini?
