Re: No Sensors Available in Pull Down List
OK, 1.1.11 installed.
But none of this solved the original problem. When I double-click on a fan [ANY FAN] & select Sensor-based Value, the pull-down menu allows only Ambient. No other sensors are available.

Re: No Sensors Available in Pull Down List
Why is "CPU B HeatSink" selected? Because that is the fan I wish to change, obviously. I decided to reinstall Macs Fan Control from a zip. Version 1.1.8.1 works fine. When I went to Check for Updates to upgrade to the newest version, the Install and relaunch does not work. The program neve...

No Sensors Available in Pull Down List
When I double click on a fan in the Macs Fan Control wind & select sensor-based value, then click on the pull-down, I get a whole lot of nothing. The previously selected sensor is the only choice, and greys out when I click on the menu. Macs Fan Control 1.1.11, MacPro5,1, Mac OS X 10.7 Fans: PCI...

Re: Slow fan speed changes with temperature changes
1.1.5 is much better. Now the fans don't play catch-up, sounding like jet engines. The temps rise, and the fans spin up with them. Temps never get as high as before.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Slow fan speed changes with temperature changes
I'm using a Mac Pro mid 2010 5,1. I have Boost A, Boost B & Intake all set at heatsink 50C/75C. Ambient is 37C. CPU A is about 54C at idle. In this state Boost A is at 800, B at 800, Intake at 600 & Exhaust at 950. When I put full load on the processors, the temps quickly rise. The fans don'...

Re: Slow fan speed changes with temperature changes
Is this behavior due to Macs Fan Control, or due to the Mac hardware or OS?
