Hi Steven.
I am not sure if this is a bug.
Here is an example, see screenshot. Rainlendar is a 64-bit program, but utool shows it is a 32-bit program.
Does it mean the uninstaller is 32-bit in this case?
Could you please look into this?
My OS: Win10 Home x64, with latest anniversary update.

Re: Uninstall Tool 3.4.1 beta
It is now possible in Windows 10Steven wrote:Unfortunately it's no possible to hide UAC whe the app is pinned to Taskbar
No UAC pop-up when launching Uninstall Tool 3.4.3 from Taskbar.
Just FYI, if you did not notice this yet Steven.

Windows 10 release is getting pretty close (not counting people on Insider builds). Any ETA on the new version Steven?

Re: Uninstall Tool 3.4.1 beta
Yeah, I thought it is a limitation of the OS, otherwise you would implement it as well.
I do not mind the one click on UAC anyway.
I have installed the stable version already and I am looking forward to the new 3.5 version.
Utool has come a long way from the free 1.x version ... how time flies

Re: Uninstall Tool 3.4.1 beta
Ok, re-downloaded, reinstalled.
Both conditions you mention are met this time. UAC is not activated in those cases.
Its a bit unfortunate UAC gets activated when Utool is started from taskbar.
Nevertheless, thank you for your hard work Steven.

Re: Uninstall Tool 3.4.1 beta
I searched, but could not find the mentioned "RunUninstallTool_SkipUac".
I searched at left and bottom pane (see screenshot).
If I am still missing something, please give more specific instructions.

Re: Uninstall Tool 3.4.1 beta
Nope, only "Uninstall Tool Helper for x64 systems" is running. I reinstalled the beta, to check if I accidentally did not uncheck any options (only option unchecked was to create a shortcut ... the install tracker + create shortcut in control panel were checked). I also disabled my AV and ...

Re: Uninstall Tool 3.4.1 beta
Installed the new 3.4.1 beta, UAC popup still shows (for both main program and Install Tracker).
Do I need to enable a setting? I could not find anything for this.
Using Windows 8.1 Pro x64
UAC is at its default setting.

Re: How to completely remove Uninstall Tool?
This just shows that Revo Unistaller has done a crappy job. I would bet, that Uninstall Tool would uninstall Revo with all its mess.

Re: Disable sidebar option
I have been waiting for the feature since forever.
The left sidebar/info column can be just hidden (e.g. with a button), it does not need to fully disabled.
So it can be shown on demand when needed.
Is this still planned Steven?

Re: Errors in Windows 8 Reliability manager log
Nevertheless, thanks Steven. It is really weird that you cannot find the reliability monitor. It has been around at least from Win7, if not from Vista. Maybe it will not activate in WM? Who knows ... posted a screenshot ;) And I fixed the Avast problem (yes, free version) by myself. I added utool to...

Re: Errors in Windows 8 Reliability manager log
Hi Steven, thanks for helping me troubleshoot this. I always find Reliability Monitor this way: 1. go to Search (right corners of the screen), 2. Type: reliab (you do not need to write the full word), 3. select Settings (under Apps, just right under the search field). But it does not matter so much ...

Re: Errors in Windows 8 Reliability manager log
Hi Steven, 1. As you have seen, I have an Intel CPU, so it is not the RT version, but also not Pro or Enterprise , just the regular Windows 8 version x64. 2. All the logs are exactly same as the one I posted earlier. 3. Control Panel\System and Security\Action Center\Reliability Monitor -> View all ...

"You cannot post attachments in this forum" So I tried imageshack, hopefully it will work. http://imageshack.us/g/820/utoolcrashes.jpg/ 1. Yes, see screenshots. It is the RTM version. 2. I was not able to reproduce the issue. It is weird, check the dates of the errors... several times in o...

Re: x64helper.exe faulty warnings in Windows 8
Hi Steven, the x64helper.exe seems to be gone :) But I still got the info, that the main app crashed - again only in Reliability monitor, when normally using utool, no crash or error. I will post the log from the reliability monitor. I would also post a screenshot, but the forum does not provide tha...

Thank you Steven.
I installed the new version now and will check the app behaviour in the next days. If I find anything unusual, I will report back. Take care.

Re: UT crashing with Windows 8
Yes, I am confirming it. The tool is working without a problem (I did not use the Install and Trace feature yet on Win8, so cannot comment on that). The program is working fine by itself, no obvious error or crash. It just makes error messages in Reliability Monitor, even if I do not start UT. Thank...
