Hello,
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my 2011 27" iMac a few days ago and started running into the fan speed issue (due to me replacing the main internal drive with a SSD). I ran your windows version of the software and it will not let me change values saying I already have a fan control program installed. Would a program installed on OSX cause this issue? I currently use HDD Fan Control for my main operating system (OSX 10.8.4 Mountain Lion).
EDIT: I guess my lack of understanding of what these programs do got in my way here. I uninstalled HDD Fan Control completely and reset the System Management Controller. Installed your software for Mac and it worked fine. Loaded up Windows 7 again and the program started working as expected.
The problem is resolved.

Re: Windows 7 version detecting other fan control software
Yes, HDD Fan Control can cause such problems because it doesn't use correct way of controlling fan speed (it changes min speed for that). One should reset SMC (or try putting computer to sleep) and disable (uninstall) this conflicting app.

Thanks for responding. Just finished doing what you suggested right before you posted. The issue is now fixed.Steven wrote:Yes, HDD Fan Control can cause such problems because it doesn't use correct way of controlling fan speed (it changes min speed for that).
