Cannot control only one fan on my mbp

Post by BakaPhoenix »

Hi! I have a problem, with this program, i can't pitol only one fan and leave the other one on auto. If i set the left fan on my macbook pro (late 2008, the first unibody) on cpu sensor, min 64 max 85, the left fan rise as it should, but the right fan rise too when in auto was on 2k rpm.
Is it normal?

Thanks

Yes it's normal, because automatic mode means that fan is controlled by system, which has its own rules for increasing fan speed according to sensor values.

Yes i know that, but if i leave both fan on auto the rpm is like 2k rpm, but if i change the left fan and still have the same core temp the right fan start to spin higher to reach almost the same rpm of the left fan
