2009 MBP Bootcamp Blue Screen
Hi there.
I have been using Macs Fan Control on bootcamp and I had not updated it for a while ( the version that would let you know about a available update for 10 seconds)
I decided to update last month. And now whenever I try to open the program it gives me a blue screen of death. I have reinstalled Bootcamp with no luck. Cannot open Fan Control at all.
My specs are:
2009 Mac Book Pro
2.8 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Nvidia Geforce 9600M GT
Nvidia Geforce 9400m ( Bootcamp only uses the 9600 )
Windows XP Home Edition (32 bit)
Also is there somewhere I can download old versions?

jch
MFC doesn't have a kernel driver and it unlikely can cause a crash. Are you sure about that?
When does the crash happen?

As soon as I click on MFC. It also happens when it tries to open itself after installation.

Yes, but I need to know your previous version.
Re: 2009 MBP Bootcamp Blue Screen
I think it was early 2013.
When I opened mfc, it went to a 10 second window telling me a update was available (had to wait for countdown before clicking continue. Cant find or remember the exact version number sorry.
Is there some other way I can identify what version it was?

Re: 2009 MBP Bootcamp Blue Screen
Perhaps I might try 1.1.11.
Also, I greatly appreciate the time and help.

Re: 2009 MBP Bootcamp Blue Screen
Also if you would like I can download other version to see exactly what version starts causing my blue screen.
Re: 2009 MBP Bootcamp Blue Screen
It started working, but it changed my resolution when I opened it. (looked 16 bit also)
So I adjusted my resolution and restarted.
Now every time I boot into windows it goes to the blue screen before the welcome chime ends.
Trying to delete it though OSX .
Maybe I should try 1.1.7

Re: 2009 MBP Bootcamp Blue Screen
Update:
I have removed MFC via safe mode in xp. Computer is starting up normally again.
Hopefully I'll have better luck with 1.1.7

Re: 2009 MBP Bootcamp Blue Screen
I have a funny feeling that I need to download 1.1.0
Do you have any idea what might be causing the blue screens?
