Is there a way to reapply the SMC firmware, even although the firmware-version is up-to-date ?
My left-fan in my 3,1MacBook Pro (mid-2007), seems to be pegged at zero-rpm , and my trackpad may fail to click, or drag, but only when the ethernet-patch-cable to the modem is connected .
I have the SMC firmware update from Apple, but it won't reapply itself, because the firmware-version appears to be up-to-date .
We have discontinued this forum and moved support tickets to the GitHub issue tracker. More info

I'm not aware of that. Moreover it does nothing with MFC.

I was kind-of thinking that, somehow, you could produce a software-product that would reset the version of the firmware, so that the firmware could be re-applied from Apple. Hopefully that might fix my "broken" fan-problem, since MFC isn't capable of that, currently .
