So I'm on a 13,1 iMac and running Windows 10 through bootcamp on a 10.10.(whatever the latest yosemite is, not el capitan).
My fans max at 3000 rpm... is that accurate?

- Restarted multiple times

Re: Max RPM 3000?
Update: After leaving my computer on with MacsFanControl overnight-- it got up to 5800rpm.
However, I cannot get it to do this normally-- and it still has the max at 3400 rpm, and the min at about 2900...
Help? :C

3000 RPM looks normal for me. Can you show me the screenshot of MFC?

Re: Max RPM 3000?
What do you mean by that? The MFC window itself? I posted a link to that
I also saw my fans as high as 5000 this morning after leaving it on all night...
I know they can be that high.

Sorry I didn't noticed the picture.
Looks like there's another SMC fan controlling application (under Mac?) installed. Delete it and reset SMC

Re: Max RPM 3000?
Well-- I checked three times and I don't have another fan control software installed I don't think.
I went ahead and reset the smc however-- and ended up with a proper minimum but less on my max

These are correct values. Looks like you have another fan controlling software installed (for me). I don't think mac can change min/max values by itself. MFC never changes them

Re: Max RPM 3000?
Any idea how I'd go about finding that?
I've checked both windows and mac for smcFanControl and have found no trace...
Maybe theres somewhere I'm not looking?
