App stopped working

I just installed an update supposedly to make reading of the fan status easier. The whole fan control disappeared and the fan is not working anymore!!!! no noise, no pip.... what can I DO NOW???
Your help will be appreciated.

I don't understand. What disappeared? What is not working?
Do you see the main window? Do you have a screenshot? Did you try to reboot?

This fan was installed by someone who repaired my Mac a year ago and so far it had worked OK, I had updated several times with no problem. The control appeared on the menu line and I could hear the fan working. This morning the latest update was suggested and, given my experience in the past, I decided to agree to the update. The Apple menu line does not display any info anymore, the noise of the fan is not there, I cannot access the controls. I really do not know where to find them (in applications?) Your help will be appreciated. Thanks.

So you installed version 1.1.12.2 ? Does it appear in /Applications?

Sorry, I cannot find the original file in Applications. Does it have a name that has nothing to do with Fan or Control? I hate to sound so dumb but I am at a loss here. Thanks.
Perhaps I will take my ginormous mac back to the repairperson and consult him?

It must be called "Macs Fan Control", if you're unable to locate it, re-download and copy to Applications again.
