Necessity of running MFC on both OS?

I'm running Win7 Pro 32 bit via Bootcamp 4.033 on a late 2006 iMac (v. 6.1) and a 2007 MacBook Pro (v. 3.1). Both machines run Mac OS 10.6.8.

Is it necessary to run MFC on both operating systems?

Currently I am running MFC 1.1.12.2 on the Windows side, but SMC Fan Control over on the Mac side. Is this a problem? I've been reluctant to install MFC on 10.6.8 because if what I've read about memory leaks, etc.

Everything seems to be working properly...

Hello, fbl

The answer is simple - if you think you need MFC on both OS (according to temperature sensors), you use it.

I really do not recommend using SMC Fan Control on Mac and MFC on Windows. Generally mixing of different fan controlling software could be a problem.
