running fans at 6000rpm

Hi there

I use the latest PC version on a MacBook Pro running Windows 8.1 Pro x64. I see the max speed permitted for the fans is 5500rpm. Is there anyway to increase this to 6000rpm? Still getting shutdowns due to overheating running gfx intensive software so want to try 6k.

Any tips appreciated.

It's technically possible to set custom max speed, but MFC will never be able to do that. It's too dangerous.

I notice Lubbos Fan Control will run up to 6k, but the temp sensors don't work correctly so would rather use your app.
