Where do I start? Is there an optimum setting?

Post by wheredoistart »

Hi all,
the following situation:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3720QM CPU @ 2.60GHz
MacBookPro9,1
TJMax T (C): 105

Running Windows via Bootcamp. Without MacsFanControl the fans run constantly full blast. With MacsFanControl set to automatic, the fans run constantly full blast. (6200rpm). By default, CPU Core 1 seems to be around 75-80 degrees celsius. Even when I do *nothing*.

What is the most sensible setting to choose so that the fans do not destroy my brain? :) I do not want to fiddle with a ton of settings, I would just like to have something work out of the box. What's the best setting for that? When you chose "sensor - cpu 1" for example, what are good settings for the temperature? etc. etc.

Thanks

Automatic means the same as you don't run MFC.

Try to set CPU fan (Left Side or Right Side, not sure) to rotate in relation to CPU diode sensor. Min 80 max 105
