1. Could you please tell me what is under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SystemInformation
SystemManufacturer?

2. Please download the latest build 202 and try running "MacsFanControl.exe" with /skipcheck command line parameter

1. Apple Computer, Inc.
P.S.: it says MacPro2,1, while it's a 1.1 to 2.1 firmware upgrade (maybe the firmware is the problem)

2...."try running "MacsFanControl.exe" with /skipcheck command line parameter" - Sorry, I worked on Macs for some 20 years, how do I do that?

Code: Select all

Start -> Run -> cmd -> "C:\Program Files (x86)\Macs Fan Control\MacsFanControl.exe" /skipcheck

Do I have to run it every time with /skipcheck? It's not a big deal, but you could make a version that doesn't check for hardware compatibility, just for people who have problems and have compatible hardware, and give them the link to the that app here on the forum, at least you could spare yourself all the trouble of wasting your time on the support of a free app.
Anyway, thank you very much for your help, and especially for MacFanControl!

Cheers!

Please run the app with /log command line parameter and send the log file (located in the app directory) it us.

I did that and there is no log file in the app folder, I even tried "C:\Program Files (x86)\Macs Fan Control\MacsFanControl.exe" /log >C: and gives me access denied, tried on desktop and some other folders but I always get a access denied warning..

I did that, the app started with the usual unsupported hardware detected but there is no log file
