How does Macs Fan Control "Phone Home" for update status? We have strict security requirements so I need to understand the mechanism and site address that's used.

It'd be nice if there was a way to disable this via the GUI. However, as long as I have the information, I can block the activity and no security violation will be raised via our systems.
