"There is a new version of Macs Fan Control available" ?!

Every time I restart my computer Macs Fan control tells me there's a new version available, with a count down box of about 10 seconds until i can click 'Continue', but I already have the latest version?! It's doing this for both Mac OS X and Windows 10 in Boot camp. I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling the new version twice on both operating systems.

Same issue on two computers - only started doing it today - says 'new version available' but it's the same version as the one installed!

update prompt despite latest version

Macs Fan Control keeps bugging me that I need to update the app, but I've already downloaded and installed the latest version, which is now 1.4.4. It's quite annoying, because of the timeout that I need to see through to be able to use it.

Any ideas?

I too just updated to 1.4.4 (iMac12,2), but when I launch the app it states there's a new version available with a popup I have to click away.

Same here, I don't get why i should update to 1.4.4. It was already installed but the update checker continues to say there is an update. Editing the prefs didn't help. With the next reboot i had the message again.
