I used macs fan control for a while to simply check whether my fans work properly on my macbook pro 2017 15-inch (macOS 10.12.6), and then I uninstalled it. All settings related to fan speed were left as 'Auto' when I uninstalled it. So now I am just wondering about the following:

1. Does the 'Auto' fan speed means using the default SMC settings provided by Apple?
2. In my case, do I need to reset SMC after uninstallation?
