I really love this app.
I have finally found this app for windows 7 on macbook.
This app can lock speed that I want on windows.
As you know, macbooks are a little noisy.
Thank you for greatest app.
:good:

And I also want to use ubuntu linux on macbook.
But there are no apps that lock fan speed.
Would you like to develop ubuntu version?
Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for good words.

Sorry, this is not planned at the moment. Very little % of users install linux on mac hardware actually

I would like to second this idea. This is the best fan speed control going. The latest version 14.04 of Ubuntu comes with a new + mac distro which really opens up a lot of macs for dual boot, including mine. but the damn fans are an issue I just cant find a solution to yet.

My iMac also has the super drive replaced with an SSD which has the OS on it. The "other" fan controllers can't seem to figure that out and speed up the wrong fan. This one lets me set the options right!!!

Also fully support the idea of a Macs Fan Control Linux version! If one looks on the Ubuntu website, there are dedicated pages on installing Ubuntu for all the recent macs, which suggests that there are fair number of people doing this.

Personally I have my MacBook Pro triple booted with Mac OSX, Ubuntu Linux & Windows 7

Macs Fan Control is excellent, keep up the good work :good:

That sounds hopeful :good:

Here are two links on the Ubuntu website giving guidance on Ubuntu installs on Macs.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MactelSupportTe ... yHelpPages
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Macte ... stallation

There are also many other websites outside of Ubuntu's.

After initial trepidation I gave it a go, several years back, and have been successfully running a triple booted MacBook Pro ever since.
