Hard disk was replaced under warranty on my mother's iMac. Next time I visit, loud fan noise. Setting Macs Fan Control to control hard disk based on ambient works great.

I have attached a screenshot showing Macs Fan Control and the replaced Seagate hard drive number. How do I find the specs for that drive? Thanks very much.

BTW there is a spelling error in the last line of the Macs Fan Control online manual:
"Other use cases will folow (under construction)"

You shouldn't set HDD fan speed based on Ambient, but on APPLE HDD HUA722010CLA330
