Control does not work on iMac 9.1

Hi,

I just installed an SSD from Samsung 840 to replace the HDD in my iMac 24 (early 2009) using OSX 10.9 Maverick. But now the fan noise is driving me insane - especially that I use it for recording music in my home studio !

I installed the application version 1.1.6 under the applications folder.
The Temperature sensors report values, but when changing the control for the HDD, nothing at all happens !

Can anyone help me please ?

Regards,
René

Hi,

I am not in front of my Mac now, so I'll do it when I get home.
Remind me how to create a screenshot please ?

Regards,
René

Hi,

I saw that the CPU speed was set to the maximal value ?
I overlooked that.
So now I changed the RPM to a different value, and it seems to have been fixed that way.

If the current RPM value displays zero, then it looks like there's physical damage of the fan or its cable.
It's very strange that CPU fan is set to max in the current situation, I recommend resetting SMC
