Sometimes it crashes only after trying to make a choice in preferences, sometimes it crashes just with the preference window open before you even have time to make a choice.
I am using 10.9.1, and running 3.2GHZ Intel Core i3, 16GB of memory.

I'm also seeing crashes with 1.1.8. I can't get it to run for more than a minute without crashing.
