When I double click on a fan in the Macs Fan Control wind & select sensor-based value, then click on the pull-down, I get a whole lot of nothing. The previously selected sensor is the only choice, and greys out when I click on the menu.

Re: No Sensors Available in Pull Down List
Why is "CPU B HeatSink" selected?
When you open this window initially there should be "Ambient".
Try clearing MFC preferences (first quit) by executing these 2 commands:

Re: No Sensors Available in Pull Down List
Why is "CPU B HeatSink" selected? Because that is the fan I wish to change, obviously.
I decided to reinstall Macs Fan Control from a zip. Version 1.1.8.1 works fine.
When I went to Check for Updates to upgrade to the newest version, the Install and relaunch does not work. The program never relaunches. When I manually relaunch the program, I get 1.1.8.1.

The latest version is 1.1.11
http://crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control-changelog
Please make sure to use it. The auto-update issue is fixed there as well.

Re: No Sensors Available in Pull Down List
OK, 1.1.11 installed.
But none of this solved the original problem. When I double-click on a fan [ANY FAN] & select Sensor-based Value, the pull-down menu allows only Ambient. No other sensors are available.

Do you have access to some other mac to check if this behavior repeats?
