I don't have a solution of the issue at the moment. There's no problem with the app, something's wrong with your mac I think

Thank you
Oh my god. Some days ago I worried about my mac only rise the fan speed when CPU at 90 degrees above. So when the app was freeze, doesnt update value, my fan or sensor or other things still work?
And the SMC error that i got, this is normal like 2 threads i posted said? Please tell me :(

The smc errors are nothing. These errors started after Lion OS when they changed the smc kernel.
I also had these errors, lots of them, I think all the sensors were involved. Then I did an smc reset and the errors were only 3.
Also with a fresh install of Mavericks, the errors are still there! Did a research and there is nothing to worry about.
As for the mac fan control freezing I can't help you there. The only thing I can think of is try closing everything else running (apps, dashboard widgets, etc) and restart macs fan control, to see if another program causes the freezing.
Hope this helps.

The problem is that its freezing on Windows as well when running on batteries. I don't think it's a software problem

I noticed these errors also about 2 months ago with a fresh, no apps installed os, so I don't think is a problem there. Also after a research lots of people have them, and apple changed the smc kernel after Lion and since then the errors started. I don't think there is somethink to worry about.

Try closing all apps running and restart macs fan control, and if this doesn't work try restarting your mac without any apps running on start up, with a fresh smc reset, and then open macs fan control.
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much.
The MFC only don't update the changing of sensor value a period time when I use my machine on batteries and the CPU temperature cool about 45~ 60 degrees, it works fine again when I have the temperature rise on CPU as 60 degrees above, unneed close and restart the MFC @@.

But since I saw 5 SMC error, I have worried. I don't know what it mean, just see ERROR, nobody want to see that.

Should I take a clean reinstall Mavericks?
Your Mac still have these SMC error like mine

Yes my mac mini still has these smc errors. I was kind of worried and I stress tested my mac mini to see if there was a problem with the temps and the responce of the fans. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. The fans while on auto mode speeded up when my cpu hit 95 celcius and kept it there for the hour I was stress testing it. Firstly I was worried when I saw the temps climbing to the 90's but I guess Apple wants to deliver a quiet first and a cool second pc.
As far reinstalling Mavericks I don't know if this will help. Give it a try. But all things aside if your Mac has still applecare go check it out. ;)
But I think that these errors are just the result of some application asking the kernel for a SMC sensor that does not exist, and/or smc versions that an app is calling out that are not working on your mac.(for example the mac pro has different smc from mac mini and the mac mini from a mac and so on..).

PS: Sorry for the two quite similar messages. I posted the first but I didn't see it since I was on the first page of the thread.

Post by shakerato »

I'm using MBPr mid 2014 13inch version.

It has some prob of indicating temp n fan speed.

When i use macbook at battery mode, the sensor value is not change.
But at ac power mode it works well.

I tried nvram n Smc reset too

Any ideas?

Program setting is same as first installed

P.s sorry for no screen shots. My Mac is at sevice centre . Because floor rubber is missing. Not the hw prob

Please post technical information when the laptop is available.

This is the second report of such behaviour...
Maybe it's some sort of protection from draining battery?

Strange, same machine - MacBookPro11,1

1. Do you mean that if you set some constant RPM value -> temperature sensors start to update normally?

2. Can you try some other monitoring app and test if it works

?
