Hi

first of all: thank you for fan control

I have an old iMac from 2009 which needs GPU cooling to prevent screen freezes.

This worked fine with Fan Control 1.1.7.
Now I updated to 1.1.9 and the fan doesn't react to the settings anymore.

I have the GPU temperature set to start cooling at 40 C and max at 50 C.

In the screenshot you can see these settings with the GPU temperature at 53 C and the fan at 831 rpm. Any ideas or solutions?
Or can I still get version 1.1.7. from somewhere?

Hello.

CPU fan doesn't cool GPU. You should refer to ODD fan to cool down GPU.

PS. Can you please give us: screenshot of the main window without any other windows?

Ok, interesting, because it worked before ...
I tried with ODD – no difference.

And here is the screenshot:

I just noted, that in the crash report there is a new report from fan control about every second. They all look the same:

53 C is a good temperature for GPU,

as for the crash, could you please try this version?

I know, in general, but my old Mac keeps crashing at 54 C, so I put the max to 50 C
