macs fan control on imac beachball

I had installed macs fan control successfully 5 days ago... now it sits in tray does not control fan speed and beachballs when I approach it. I uninstalled using mackeeper uninstall tool ..reloaded.. redownloaded and reinstalled. I have no other fan control software installed...reset smc...did a cmd/option PR reset...regardless of what I do it beachballs ..and eventually freezes other programs..then I need to restart..if I dont load macs fan control my computer has no problems but i need to wear ear muffs...
please help!!

after running verify disc repair disc uninstalling and reinstalling still continues to "not responding"

Can you please try cleaning MFC preferences by executing the following commands in Terminal?
Code: Select all
killall MacsFanControl
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.crystalidea.macsfancontrol.plist
killall -u `id -u -n` cfprefsd
